The Meredith Select Board on May 11 approved alternates to the Library Board of Trustees and took a nonpublic session for personnel matters.
Selectperson Jeanie Forrester moved to accept Judy Rosenthal, Paula Wanzer and Patricia Fish as alternates to the Library Board of Trustees; Selectperson Lynn Leighton seconded. A roll-call vote recorded Chairperson Steve Aiken — yes; Vice Chair Jim Gregoire — not present; Selectperson Lynn Leighton — yes; Selectperson Jeanie Forrester — yes; Selectperson Mike Pelczar — yes. The motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting the board also approved the April 13, 2026 Select Board meeting minutes on a motion by Selectperson Leighton, seconded by Selectperson Forrester, with no discussion and the motion recorded as passed.
Toward the end of the meeting Chairperson Aiken moved that the board enter nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3, II(a) regarding dismissal, promotion, compensation or discipline of public employees. Vice Chair Gregoire seconded. Roll-call votes were recorded as Aiken yes, Gregoire yes, Leighton yes, Forrester yes and Pelczar yes; the motion passed. The board entered nonpublic session at 5:58 p.m. and reconvened the public meeting at 7:58 p.m. No nonpublic minutes or substantive nonpublic outcomes were disclosed in the public record for the May 11 meeting.
The meeting adjourned after reconvening; the next Select Board meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2026.
