The speaker said continuing receipts have allowed the village to proceed with the membrane project, which is intended to remove PFOS and related contaminants from treated water.
Council members asked how the funds have been used and whether they are earmarked; staff reiterated the funds are restricted to utility‑related uses and identified the membrane plant as the principal application. The village also announced a separate matching USTA grant for $47,250 to help resurface six tennis courts at Olympia Park, with total project cost estimated a bit over $100,000.
