Board reappoints historic commissioners, fills committee vacancies

The Board unanimously reappointed Nicole Bentley and Katherine Poe to the Joint Historic Preservation Commission, appointed Liam McKissock to a vacancy, reappointed James Felty on the Transportation Advisory Committee, accepted municipal appointments of Jimmy Whitmire (Town of Rosman) and Councilman Lauren Wise (City of Brevard), and appointed David Carter to one remaining Transportation Advisory vacancy.
At its May 26 meeting, the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners approved several reappointments and appointments to advisory boards.
The Board reappointed Nicole Bentley and Katherine Poe to the Joint Historic Preservation Commission; Billy Parrish did not seek reappointment and Liam McKissock was appointed to fill the open seat. On the Transportation Advisory Committee, the Board reappointed James Felty, accepted the Town of Rosman's appointment of Jimmy Whitmire and the City of Brevard's appointment of Councilman Lauren Wise, and appointed David Carter to the remaining vacancy. All motions passed unanimously.
