The council also approved first readings to annex and zone parcels northeast of Technology Way (Tax Map No. 674-00-00-004) and additional parcels along Highway 72 (Tax Map No. 675-00-00-007) to allow an RV park and limited commercial uses; both first readings passed 7–0. Council approved first reading annexation at the Willard Road/Caldwell Street intersection (Tax Map No. 637-00-00-010) on a 7–0 vote.
Flood insurance code amendment: The council amended sections of the City of Clinton code (34-4(a), 34-67, 34-102(1), 34-102(3)) to update compliance dates for the National Flood Insurance Program; the ordinance passed on second reading, 7–0.
Other actions: The council approved minutes and proclamations (Teacher Appreciation Week; National Military Appreciation Month; Mental Health Awareness Month; Lupus Awareness Month) by unanimous votes. City Attorney Allan Wham administered the oath to Donya Langston as Interim City Clerk.
