Tim Davis of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board presented a ceremonial check to Seminole municipal leaders to support an automatic meter infrastructure (AMI) project.
"This is Tim Davis from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board," Davis said when he introduced himself to the council and staff and described his role as a loan analyst who works on finances and loan agreements for communities and districts. He told the council he was there to present a ceremonial check for the AMI project in the amount read on the agenda; he also stated that "$1 million of this is actual principal forgiveness" if the project meets the stated conditions.
City leaders gathered for a photograph with the presenter and members of the council and staff. Council members thanked the board and acknowledged staff who worked to secure the funding. City staff noted the AMI project is part of the broader capital-improvement program and reminded the council that a local grant-match will be required for the project’s remaining costs.
