The Public Safety Committee approved a conditional use permit, an entertainment license and a restaurant retail liquor license for GF Property LLC to operate at the former TTown Cafe location under the name Barrerero Fiesta Mexican Grill.
The applicant identified herself as Ann Gangao and said she is an owner of Vario Vi Mexican Grill and plans to operate the new restaurant in the TTown Cafe building. "It'll be in the patio," Gangao said when asked where occasional live music would be located. The proposed hours are Sunday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and Friday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; staff said occupancy is capped at 135 and includes the outdoor deck.
Planning staff characterized the request as a standard conditional use for a restaurant‑bar that will include entertainment, and council members asked clarifying questions about when a restaurant's live music triggers a different license. One council member warned about enforcement of the city's noise ordinance if entertainment complaints arise.
After the presentation and questions, the committee moved and approved the conditional use permit, the entertainment license and the alcohol license by voice vote.
The applicant and staff were advised to monitor noise and to comply with the conditions attached to the permits; the committee did not request additional modifications to hours or occupancy limits.
