At the June 8 open forum, developer representatives updated the council on construction progress for Victoria Downtown West.
Carl Runk introduced the update and invited council members to tour the sales center when it opens. Andrew McInness, project manager for SW Builders, said mass grading is complete, utilities have been extended from Stiger Lake Lane to the west and the first phase’s five retail pads on the south side are graded and ready for vertical construction.
McInness described the site phasing: phase 1.1 focuses on retail, phase 1.2 continues infrastructure to the southwest, and phase 2 will be driven by pre‑sales. He said permit drawings for retail were expected imminently and that the sales center is being outfitted with cabinets and finishes; he invited council members to see the gallery once it opens in July.
Council thanked the presenters and had no further questions in open forum.
