Director Jenna Van Meeteren told the board one bid was received and recommended accepting it along with an accompanying resolution. Gary Kregel moved to accept the bid and Larry Stone seconded; a roll-call vote recorded Kregel, Stone, Lau, Asche and Chairman Daryl Landsgard voting in favor.
The award covers construction of the trail extension identified in project TAP-R-CO22(99)-8T-22. Van Meeteren said the bid amount falls within the project budget. The board also reviewed a county auditor financial statement as part of routine oversight prior to taking the vote.
Board members did not record conditions or amendments to the motion during the hearing. The contract award follows standard procurement procedure: the board accepted the apparent low bid and authorized staff to proceed with contract execution and next steps.
The board’s action on the Pony Hollow Trail is the most significant spending decision at the meeting; staff indicated related engineering and interdepartmental agreements would be addressed separately.
