State demonstrates new centralized grants portal for applicants and managers

"Lo que creamos acá es una localización central para hacer la gestión del trabajo de subvenciones con todas las agencias de EEA... hoy tenemos a 11 programas de subvenciones que están recibiendo propuestas," the presenter said, describing a public portal users can browse without a login and a personalized account area where applicants may save drafts, track budgets and view contract documents.
Key features highlighted included a budget tracking page, a document library with seven‑year retention for contracts, an audit trail showing user actions by date, the ability to download blank application PDFs for offline work, and integration with MyMA/Gov login. The presenter said the portal currently lists about 80 programs across the agencies and that 11 opportunities were open at the time of the meeting.
Council members asked about accessibility and language access. Staff said the portal is being built for screen‑reader compatibility and multi‑language support and that many user assistance materials (guides, help email and a support phone line) will be available. On notifications, the presenter said program managers can set automated reminders for applicants and recipients, but broader notification capability remains under active development.
