On county property matters, staff presented offers and the board approved the sale of a roughly 0.25‑acre strip adjacent to the Mariana Fire Station (same per‑acre price as a prior sale) as surplus; approved the sale of the one‑acre Carpenters building on the Endeavor property to Leonard S. Williams and Susan Michelle Williams for $44,000 with a covenant requiring defined exterior improvements within 18 months; and tabled the proposed sale of the smoke‑stack building pending staff negotiations about preserving the smoke stack and parcel survey issues.
Commissioners asked staff to add clear covenant language for the Carpenter building sale and asked for follow‑up on the smoke‑stack preservation approach before any sale is finalized. Several routine consent‑agenda items (bills, right‑of‑way permit, minutes) and the designated receiving system/behavioral health transportation plan were approved by vote.
The board recessed briefly after the property actions and then addressed miscellaneous constituent issues (road paving requests, SCRAP/SCOP grant applications, aquatic‑weed treatment scheduling) before adjourning.
