The Bonner Milltown Community Council unanimously approved a $900 budget request during its June 8 meeting to cover routine operating costs and community events.
Treasurer Ken James presented the request and said the money would cover PO box rental, community signage, the council’s Zoom account and the summer picnic. A motion to approve the budget was moved and seconded; the council voted by roll call and the motion passed unanimously.
Council members noted the council does not maintain a separate bank account and that funds are funneled through the city. The council also discussed using a portion of the signage line for sandwich boards and flyers to promote the free community picnic on July 29, 2026.
The council listed the budget item on the agenda as an action item and recorded the approval as a formal motion. The council scheduled its next meeting for July 13, 2026, when it will consider officer elections and membership introductions.
