Residents press Lago Vista council on billboards, school drug concerns during public comments

She asked council to begin the difficult and potentially costly process of removing grandfathered signs and noted that sign control is one of the criteria used by the Texas Scenic City program.
Travis Greeley spoke about drugs affecting high-school students and criticized what he described as inadequate enforcement and coordination between the school district and police. "It kills me that there is not enforcement at our high school," he said, describing personal consequences and urging the city to press for better protections for children.
The mayor and council members encouraged the commenters to provide contact information and said staff would follow up; the mayor asked residents to email details so the city could ensure the concerns reach the appropriate staff and council liaison.
