Wallington council approves consent agenda, contracts and handicapped parking designation

At its April 2 caucus/work session, the Wallington Mayor and Council approved a consent agenda and several walk‑on resolutions covering routine municipal business and contracts.
The consent agenda—moved by Councilwoman Susanne Preinfalk and seconded by Councilman Eugeniusz Rachelski—included Resolution 2026‑142 authorizing a closed executive session, Resolution 2026‑143 authorizing Payment No. 4 to Daskal LLC for the addition and interior alterations to the Wallington Municipal Building, and Resolution 2026‑144 authorizing execution of an agreement with Teamsters Local 560 for the Department of Public Works. The consent agenda passed by roll call with Rachelski, Preinfalk, Kosuda and Graham voting aye; Justyna Marciniak and Sylwia Hejzner were absent.
Walk‑on resolutions approved later in the meeting were: • Resolution 2026‑145: Reject all RFQ submissions and direct the Borough Clerk to readvertise for Requests for Qualifications for an Affordable Housing Attorney (motion by Councilman Eugeniusz Rachelski; seconded by Councilman Dennis Graham). • Resolution 2026‑146: Authorize hiring MJG Services, LLC for professional environmental operating services (moved by Councilman Eugeniusz Rachelski; seconded by Councilman Dennis Graham). • Resolution 2026‑147: Approve a designated residential handicapped parking space at 99 Tuttle St. (moved by Councilman Eugeniusz Rachelski; seconded by Councilwoman Susanne Preinfalk).
Councilman Dennis Graham moved to refer communications, including the Building Department monthly report and the Wallington Little League Parade, to the appropriate committees. Councilwoman Preinfalk also updated the council on the planned June 27 fireworks display, noting a site inspection of the Latex property and fundraising efforts for additional event features.
