The Oneida County Executive Committee approved a Treasurer's Office request to renew a limited-term employee (LTE) position for the 2027 budget cycle.
Treasurer Tara Ostermann handed out an updated request and described the LTE's duties: "they open the mail during tax season, then payments are processed." Lueneburg explained the item is a pre-budget renewal request intended to preserve existing LTE staffing levels prior to formal budget hearings.
Committee members approved the staffing renewal by motion (Fried/Condado); the vote was recorded as all Aye. Ostermann said the department has streamlined processes and therefore requests fewer hours than in prior years. The staffing renewal will be considered in the upcoming 2027 budget process along with other departmental requests.
