He said adding 28 early‑graduate students to current counts and other statewide adjustments contributed to a net increase in the district’s revenue estimate; the presenter recommended increasing the budgeted estimate by $200,000 of a larger $244,400 May increase to retain a cushion.
Dr. Fry described the pay change as a move that, together with the approved 1% cost‑of‑living increase and step increments, results in "a little over 10 and a half% pay increase" for custodial staff and the school nutrition workers (the nutrition staff pay adjustment had already been approved earlier). The district presented the amendment as a personnel pay adjustment intended to improve competitiveness with surrounding systems.
