Lago Vista council directs city attorney to send nonrenewal notice over Tessera maintenance agreement

The Lago Vista City Council voted unanimously to direct the City Attorney to send a notice of nonrenewal to Hines related to the Tessera maintenance agreement.

Councilor Prince moved that the city provide direction to the City Attorney to issue the nonrenewal notice; he later amended the motion to direct the City Manager to send the letter on city letterhead after legal review. "I move that we provide direction to the City Attorney to send notice of non renewal to Hines related to the Tessera maintenance agreement," Prince said, and the motion carried without opposition.

City Attorney Brad clarified the mechanics in response to a council question, saying the letter will be issued on city letterhead after legal counsel completes its review. Councilmembers confirmed the direction and said staff will return to executive session later for remaining matters that require confidential discussion.
