"So just be aware of that," he said, urging members to plan around short turnaround when awards are issued.
Separately, staff submitted a letter of interest on the first day INDOT’s new pavement maintenance program opened; INDOT invited Plymouth to submit a full application to purchase crack‑sealing material or a trailer that airport staff and students could use.
Curtis also said the tractor and snow equipment deliveries are complete and closeout paperwork is ready. He said the airport has an outstanding invoice for the tractor that has been held until delivery; the invoice amount discussed in the meeting was roughly $327,000 and staff asked members to sign closeout documents so FAA reimbursement can be processed. Because shipping delays extended the contract time, Walpert recommended a $0 change order to add an 86‑day time extension to the Bane Welker contract rather than applying liquidated damages.
Board members had no formal action today but were asked to coordinate signatures or name alternate signatories to accommodate short award windows.
