Officials said the claims package included a $356,500 semiannual bond payment on the cultural center and a $373,000 semiannual payment on the geo bond. The package also listed a $218,000 monthly payment to the employee benefit trust and a $26,000 payment to EXOS. Project payments included $426,258 to Kenise Construction for the community crossings project, and a $133,800 payment from the city’s TIF funds to Greater Jasper School for Chromebooks. The council also approved final payment of $117,479 for three new police cars.
Council members voted by voice to approve the claims as presented. No board member publicly requested that any item be removed for separate consideration.
The approval clears the city to complete the listed disbursements and move forward with the cited projects and contractual payments; staff will proceed with accounting processes and vendor payouts.
