The Airport Advisory Board president advised retaining the AWOS at the current location to minimize downtime during replacement; TxDOT confirmed awarding with a single bid is allowable. Council authorized the city manager to execute contract documents. Staff said the board and TxDOT will coordinate public informational steps and that the AWOS replacement is part of a broader airport capital program.
