On the special‑education side, the board approved an updated job description for a lead school psychologist and board‑certified behavior analyst (BCBA) to improve continuity and to support MTSS and IEP goal implementation. District leadership said the position responds to recommendations to provide more alignment and leadership within special education services.
Other routine items were approved, including a quarterly uniform complaint report that showed zero complaints for the reporting period, and the board received public disclosure of initial bargaining proposals exchanged with the Atascadero District Teachers Association for 2026–27; no public comments were offered during those hearings.
The board also held an open‑session summary and approved employment agreements for two assistant superintendents and the superintendent.
