Port Washington North board opens, then postpones, public hearing on New Oasis Development site plan

Trustee Andrea Scheff moved to open the hearing; Trustee Mathew Kepke seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The application covers property designated on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map as Section 4, Block 28, Lot 82 (formerly Section 4, Block J, Lot 755). The hearing record entered a request from counsel Forchelli, Deegan & Terrana seeking a three-month postponement.
Rather than granting the full request, the board voted to grant only a one-month postponement. On motion of Trustee Mathew Kepke, seconded by Trustee Andrea Scheff, the board set a continued public hearing for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 3 Pleasant Ave. The motion passed unanimously.
The board also closed the May 7 hearing after public remarks and procedural motions; a motion to close the hearing was recorded as moved by Trustee Cohen and seconded by Trustee Kepke. No substantive action on the site plan was taken at the May 7 meeting. The matter will return for further public comment and any staff or applicant presentations at the June 9 hearing.
