He also raised repeated accidents at the Garden Street turn near St. Michael Cemetery, saying crashes have "run into and knock[en] down old historic gravestones" more than once. Reeves noted that Garden Street and Gregory Street are state-maintained roadways and framed the issue as appropriate for discussion with FDOT.
The mayor said the April 13 meeting is intended to identify possible countermeasures. He did not specify particular engineering changes, enforcement plans, or funding sources for potential fixes.
