Commissioner says 81 affordable housing units and behavioral health facility moving forward in Oak Harbor

The commissioner invited colleagues and the public to an April 2 event at 11:30 a.m. and said she will be speaking there; she also noted schedule conflicts for upcoming regional meetings and reminded attendees of a roundtable at 2:00 p.m. following the executive session.
The announcement was delivered as part of regularly scheduled commissioner remarks; no formal board action on the housing projects was taken at the meeting. The commissioner characterized the developments as long‑term investments the county helped enable and said housing projects are "starting to come online."
