At the Robertson County School Board meeting on June 8, a resident and former bus driver, Bri Paul, used the public-comment period to place on the record a series of allegations about the districttransportation operations and the handling of formal complaints related to disability accommodation.
"When those responsible for oversight are also named in complaints and the board has already been notified, where does the accountability go?" Paul asked, asking that her objection to the public vote on her requested ADA accommodation be reflected in the record.
Paul told the board she filed multiple formal complaints alleging disability-related accommodation failures, discrimination, retaliation, safety concerns and compensation problems, and she said those complaints "did not receive timely review, clear findings, or a documented outcome." She said that after being medically cleared to return to work she reported availability daily for about six weeks but remained unassigned while central transportation personnel, including people responsible for safety and routing, were reassigned to cover routes. Paul said the disruptions injured consistency for students and added workload for other drivers.
The board acknowledged the comment during the public-comment period; no detailed response or corrective action was recorded on the meeting record during the session. Paul asked the board to clarify where accountability lies when alleged wrongdoers are part of the internal review. The board had previously voted to allow a five-minute accommodation for her presentation.
What happened next: The comment was entered into the public record. The transcript does not show a board investigation outcome or formal response during the meeting. Staff and the board may follow up under district complaint procedures outside the public meeting.
