Jesse Conner of Indiana Region 15 asked commissioners to sign three documents required to submit the Springs Valley Regional Water open application: a resolution confirming local match, a signature authorization page requiring two county signatures, and a resiliency-bonus form. Commissioners authorized the signatures so the application can be submitted; Conner said awards will be announced after the Sept. 1 decision date.
Lonnie Strawl from the health department requested permission to sign a $25,000 preparedness grant agreement; the commission approved the signature authorization and Lonnie announced an on-site septic training on July 14 for regional participants involved in soil evaluation and septic permitting.
Both motions to authorize signatures were made and approved by the board during the meeting.
