At a routine meeting, members postponed action on a property code case for 636 West Third Street after a staff member reported visible progress at the site.

Bruce, a staff member who inspected the property, said he had visited the address that morning and observed work taking place. “They’re working on it,” Bruce said, and told members he had included photographs in their packet showing activity on the site. He also said the house had changed hands several times and that the new owner had requested an extension of time to finish repairs and cleanup.

Board members who reviewed the images said they could see improvement. One member described the site as “kind of a mess” but acknowledged the owner appeared to be making good progress. After discussion, a member moved to postpone the item until the next meeting to allow staff to monitor ongoing work; another member seconded the motion. The membership approved the postponement by voice vote.
