Vendor estimates for roof work shown to the board included about $43,900 for the north T‑hangar and about $38,500 for the south T‑hangar (combined roughly $82,000–$85,000). Members discussed scope items—whether gutters and removal were included—and asked staff to confirm details with bidders.
Some members favored higher‑quality standing‑seam metal roofing despite higher up‑front cost, citing longevity. Other members noted that metal quality varies and emphasized verifying the bidders’ scope before committing funds.
Staff said it will meet with the mayor and the city’s finance staff to request the necessary internal transfers before proceeding and will report back to the board; no formal council action was taken at the meeting. Joe also told the board he will pursue grant opportunities and follow up with contractors and city staff to align accounting and procurement steps.
