Audubon County board adopts resolution terminating certain David’s Creek Watershed easements

After a public hearing, the Audubon County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 21 adopted Resolution 2025-56 authorizing termination of certain county easements in the David’s Creek Watershed.
Attorney Chris Swensen presented the resolution. The minutes record a roll call vote: Yes — Heath Hansen, Kent Grabill and Don Mosinski; No — none. The resolution states the board published notice and held a public hearing concerning disposal of county interests in the identified real property and, following public comment, found termination to be in the county’s best interest subject to execution of documents.
During the easement-termination hearing, representatives Gabe Goldberg, Jarrod Beckstrom and Rob Welch of APEX/Coyote Willow Wind provided project updates and said they would meet the Planning & Zoning director to discuss placement of a meteorological tower. Earlier, a separate public hearing had been opened on termination of an easement for PL566 structure 7‑5 in the David’s Creek Watershed; that hearing was closed after the presentations and comments.
The minutes do not specify subsequent conveyance documents, conditions, or exact parcels beyond the general reference to county interests in the watershed. Attorney Swensen and county staff indicated further document execution is required to finalize any dispositions.
