Resident urges Lenoir City to publish simple attendance and voting records for council members

During the public comment portion of the Jan. 20 meeting, resident Stephanie DC requested that the council provide easy-to-find attendance and voting records for council members on an ongoing basis to help voters researching elected officials between meetings.
"It would be so simple if we could on an ongoing basis with a minute have some kind of attendance record," she said, adding that a minimal approach listing attendance and key votes (not every trivial vote) would suffice.
The mayor thanked her and said the council would take the suggestion under consideration.
