The Arlington Select Board on June 8 granted a common victualler license to TTGroup Arlington, Inc., the local franchise entity for Jersey Mike’s proposed at 1398 Massachusetts Avenue.
Applicant Tyler Tombs said he owns multiple Jersey Mike’s locations across Massachusetts, is building three stores now including the Arlington site, and expects to open June 24 if permitting is complete. "We'll employ about 15 to 20 people," Tombs told the board, and described a partnership with the Arlington High School athletics program to raise funds during the grand opening.
Board members asked about delivery logistics, app‑ordering splits and parking; Tombs said his stores typically see roughly 50% in‑store sales, 20% via the company app and 30% through third‑party delivery, and that the redevelopment board’s conditions provide for temporary 15‑minute pickup parking and custom driver instructions in delivery apps.
The board unanimously approved the license and welcomed the new business to town.
