The Livingston Township Council recognized the Livingston High School boys lacrosse team June 8 for winning the 2026 Essex County Tournament, the first such title in program history for the public-school program.
Town Attorney Jared Caner opened the presentation, calling the team's accomplishment "remarkable" and noting captains Reed Snow and Will Atkins for leadership. Coach Brad Zama described the team's path through the tournament, highlighted key wins (a double-overtime quarterfinal and a 8-3 final) and thanked players, parents and assistant coaches.
Council members presented plaques and certificates to players and coaches and the council chamber joined players and staff for a group photo.
The recognition was ceremonial; no council action or budgetary item was attached to the presentation.
