The Village of Jackson board on June 9 adopted Resolution 26-24 honoring firefighter Brian Hecondorf for more than 26 years of service to the Jackson Fire Department.
The resolution details Hecondorf’s certifications (Wisconsin state firefighter levels 1 and 2, motor pump operator, fire instructor level one and EMT-Advanced), participation on multiple apparatus committees and leadership roles including chairing a ladder truck replacement project and serving on the county fire training officers association. The board read the resolution in full, moved to introduce it and the motion carried.
Hecondorf spoke briefly following the resolution, thanking the board and reflecting on his time with the department. "It's hard to believe that I did all those things for 26 years," he said, adding that it had been an honor to serve and that he would continue to be involved in local government and community boards.
The board presented the resolution as an expression of gratitude for Hecondorf’s contributions to fire and emergency medical services and for his leadership as a village official. The resolution and the board’s adoption were recorded in the meeting minutes; the board then continued with other business.
