Lancaster County approves behavioral health agreement and grant forms; valuation referee contracts set

Lancaster County officials on June 9 approved several human services and administrative items including contracts and grant paperwork.
Scott Etherton, director of the Mental Health Crisis Center, explained an agreement with The Bridge Behavioral Health to provide chemical dependency evaluations for patients at the Crisis Center. The contract term runs through June 1, 2027, and the cost shall not exceed $43,000; the board approved the agreement.
Human Services Director Sara Hoyle said the Bureau of Justice Assistance Edward Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) grant funds SquareOne and that forms (Disclosure of Lobbying Activities and NCC Applicant Risk Assessment) are required to accept the award. The board also approved forms for the Office on Violence Against Women VAWA STOP Grant Program used to fund project positions.
The board approved agreements with Shana Sprackling and Tyler Hawkins to serve as referees to hear valuation protests for tax years 2026–2028 and to transmit findings and recommendations to the County Board of Equalization.
These actions were approved by recorded vote during the meeting.
