The Littleton Parks & Recreation Commission voted unanimously to appoint Jennifer Davis as interim parks, recreation and community education director following an executive session called to prepare for negotiations with non-union personnel. The motion named Davis at grade 16, step nine of the compensation plan and was amended to take effect June 10 (as stated during the meeting).
Commissioners moved into executive session under a provision read aloud in the meeting as “law chapter 3A section 21A2” before reconvening in open session to formalize the appointment. A roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes from Rob, Saul, Norm, Pete and Kate.
The appointment followed a closed discussion on terms; commissioners said staff would return to regular public business after completing the personnel action. The commission did not disclose additional details about the negotiation in the public record beyond the motion and the compensation grade and step.
The commission adjourned at 7:31 p.m. after completing the formal business for the evening.
