Ross Altobelli, Director of Development Services, told the council the city received a $300,000 grant to update its comprehensive plan and asked that council adopt a resolution creating a nine-member Comprehensive Plan Advisory Task Force to guide the work with the consultant and staff.
Altobelli outlined the proposed composition: the mayor, two council members, two Planning & Zoning Commission members, a representative from Bonham ISD, a Chamber of Commerce representative and two residents. Council members Ernie Quintana and Clark Smith indicated interest in serving; formal appointments of the nine individuals will occur at the next council meeting. Staff also promoted a community survey for resident input.
Council adopted the resolution establishing the task force by unanimous vote.
