Madison Parish to advertise for public-works hires and send delinquent garbage notices

At its May 11 meeting, the Madison Parish Police Jury authorized the superintendent to advertise for two public-works positions — a tractor driver and a mechanic assistant — on a motion from Jerry Hicks, seconded by Dave Wilson. The motion carried, authorizing recruitment for those positions.
Separately, following review of the Garbage Report, the jury approved a motion from Johnny Hughes, seconded by Dave Wilson, to send certified letters to all customers whose accounts carry balances greater than $300. The motion carried and directs staff to begin notification steps to collect outstanding balances.
