At the meeting reconvened March 30, 2026, Kittitas County commissioners adopted a resolution establishing bulk-ticket discount rates for the Kittitas County Fair to help community partners, businesses and groups purchase tickets in volume.
Katie Porterfield, the county’s event center director, presented the proposal and described a tiered structure that would apply discounts—starting around 10% and scaling up to as much as about 50% depending on the purchasing minimum. "We're bringing a resolution for adopting bulk discount rates, for the Kittitas County Fair," Porterfield said, explaining staff tailored the structure after comparing practices at other fairs.
Porterfield also noted that the discounts apply to presale purchases and provide organizers a form of insurance by guaranteeing sales in advance. The Chair moved to approve Resolution 286092 to adopt the discount schedule; the motion was seconded and the board approved the resolution.
The new rate schedule is intended to simplify purchases for groups and strengthen presale planning for fair organizers; staff will implement the adopted discount tiers and apply them in future fair ticketing operations.
