FEMA flood-map revisions for Easton Reach will take effect Sept. 11, Kittitas County says

Kittitas County staff briefed the board that FEMA has issued a Letter of Map Revision Determination for the Easton Reach area; the new flood mapping will take effect on September 11. County staff said they have the physical hard-copy maps and are working to acquire FEMA’s digital products so they can show property-level changes to callers.
Arden Thomas, the county’s water resources manager, reminded commissioners that the board reviewed this map revision at a prior study session and that county staff completed outreach to residents who had asked to be informed when an effective date was known. "That date is September 11," Thomas said. Staff will continue outreach and provide map access to property owners as digital products become available.
