Supervisor Hoadley reported she had spoken with Jotham Arber, Guthrie County/Adair County Environmental Health/Public Health Director, who may be willing to temporarily oversee operations while helping the county identify resources. Board members debated the structure and funding of a full-time director position, minimum qualifications (Supervisor Wedemeyer said an RN is the minimum), office location and whether to partner with neighboring Guthrie County. The county hospital indicated it no longer wished to house public health services, prompting discussion of possible office sites in Greenfield or Fontanelle.
Supervisor Walker moved to table the discussion until the following week to allow Arber to attend and provide more detail; the board approved the tabling. Supervisor Wedemeyer exited the meeting at 10:07 a.m.
