Commission reviews logger's selective cutting at 90 Locke Road; state official says best-management practices were used

Ranger Captain Mike Matson of the New Hampshire Department of Natural and Cultural Resources told attendees at the site walk that, in his view, the logger was following best-management practices. Matson said those practices superseded the Town's ordinances, per his opinion recorded in the minutes. Commission members noted that while not all vegetation along the edge was removed, some cutting did occur in the buffer.
