Selectmen approve Castle in the Clouds early events and summer directional banner

The Moultonborough Board of Selectmen on June 2 approved two event‑related requests for the summer season.
Town Planner Chuck Wise told the board that Castle in the Clouds had requested approval of early‑season events while it finalizes site‑plan reviews and permits. The board waived the town’s 14‑day requirement and approved the Castle in the Clouds events for June and July on the condition that the applicant obtain final land‑use review and permits.
Separately, the board approved a request from Great Waters to place a directional banner at the entrance of Ossipee Park Road from the end of June through the end of August 2026, pursuant to Section 5.2.3 of the Town sign ordinance; the approval included a condition that the sign placement not obstruct lines of sight, which was to be demonstrated by submitted photographs.
Both approvals were recorded by motion and vote (4–0 at the time of the actions). The board noted the approvals were conditional on compliance with permitting and safety requirements and will be revisited if required by land‑use review.
