City Manager Bowling then introduced Carly from Parks & Rec to brief the council on July 4 plans. Carly said the city will bring live music back to City Park’s amphitheater as a test, with TriStar Troop Doors booked 5:30–9 p.m., followed by fireworks around 9:45–10:00 p.m. The event will include food trucks, vendors, a Kids Zone with inflatables and face painting, mini golf and a "Dino Adventure" attraction, and other family activities. Carly also listed sponsors and said the sponsorship total was approximately $33,400.
Council members thanked organizers; no council vote was required for the event plan itself. City staff said they will continue coordinating vendors, logistics and any street or park closures needed for the holiday events.
Carly’s planning remarks were detailed and practical—she repeatedly asked organizers to follow up on vendor confirmations and noted contingency plans for weather and setup timing.
