"Mr. Coleman is donating uh nine a little over nine acres of property on 70 next to the LCB building," said Joe Mcameron, who spoke for the applicants. He described plans to survey the parcel and to address a T‑DOT requirement to align a driveway with the existing intersection and to restripe the approach to provide a left‑turn lane.
Mcameron said utilities are accessible near the site — water and power are at or near the property and sewer lies about 700 linear feet away — and that the congregation currently has roughly 150–175 members. "We study somewhere between 150 and 175," the representative said.
Commissioners asked staff to require a survey to establish the parcel boundaries and recommended that any rezoning to CFD be limited to the portion intended for church use; commissioners approved the rezoning motion subject to those conditions and noted that final site‑plan review and any required T‑DOT approvals will follow.
