Staff noted other area districts have adopted or are piloting Emerge and that McGraw‑Hill will provide professional development during the summer and into the fall to support implementation. Staff said not all previously used U·Fly materials will be discarded; some components will remain in classroom use while the new curriculum is phased in.
Budget documents shared with the board include approximately $160,000 for the initial purchase and associated professional development. The committee also discussed intervention rotation, standards‑based reporting and a summer task force to refine parent reporting practices.
Next steps: staff will provide flyers and implementation timelines, and McGraw‑Hill representatives (and Teamworks for strategic alignment) will support training over the summer and into the school year.
