Rivero elected chair and Kitchen vice chair; committee appoints Michael Watson as secretary

Earlier the committee moved to appoint Michael Watson as secretary to the regional district committee effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027; that motion was made and passed by roll call.
Members discussed rotation practices, noting both the value of continuity during multi-year work such as contract negotiations and the traditional practice of rotating the chair among sending communities. The committee left any permanent change to rotation practice for future discussion and kept current committee seats in place for the night.
