Laura said event logistics include four restrooms on site plus a porta-potty and additional bottled water stations. "We have restrooms, we have 4 restrooms on site, um that will be open and we have a porta potty that we have on site," she said. She said the fire department has reviewed the site for a small cooking fire (s'mores) and will lend a chiminea.
The Lions Club offered informal food-service assistance and popcorn at no charge; Laura said additional food vendors would need health-board permits. The board advised organizers that amplified live music triggers an entertainment license and that the police department would review parking and any need for police details; planning staff said Kona Ice (a vendor) must receive Nashoba Board of Health approval to operate.
Board members said advertising to recruit attendees and volunteers was acceptable while the permit circulates, provided final permits and vendor approvals are secured.
Next steps: Recreation staff to complete the permit package, secure any necessary food/vendor permits and an entertainment license, and finalize police/parking plans for the event.
