The Hyde Park Town Board approved a slate of administrative and budgetary resolutions on June 8, including budget revisions, release of escrow balances, issuance of a hawking/peddling license, and acknowledgements of community donations.
Resolutions adopted included Resolution 68‑1 (June 2026 budget revisions), Resolution 68‑2 (release of escrow balances for completed projects), Resolution 68‑4 (issuance of a hawking/peddling license to Nicholas Kazar of Bazaar Bites), Resolution 68‑5 (acknowledging a donation of pizza and soda from Reverend Fitzgerald and Emanuel Christian Church for the 2026 Adventure Day Camp), and Resolution 68‑6 (acknowledging a $200 donation from the Hyde Park Lions for the 2026 Music in the Park series). The board also authorized submission of a New York 'places for learning activity and youth socialization' grant application with a local match (Resolution 68‑7).
Each resolution was moved and seconded and passed on roll call; the clerk recorded votes for the attending members. The board also approved Resolution 68‑3 to set a public hearing on the MS4 storm water management program plan and later adopted Resolution 68‑8 granting a retail cannabis special use permit to Cool Sunny LLC (see separate coverage).
These actions were primarily procedural and administrative; the board discussed how grant applications are tracked by staff and the municipal grant writer, and emphasized keeping local matching requirements low when feasible.
