The Livingston County Department of Social Services presented and the Human Services Committee approved a renewal contract with Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston to provide Family-Centered Case Management services from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, at a not-to-exceed amount of $165,385.
Tracy McCaughey reviewed the allocation, stating the funding is an Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) allocation expected to remain at current levels and will be released once the state budget is passed. The committee voted to authorize the county chairman to sign the contract; Mr. Pangrazio moved and Mr. Wester seconded the motion, which carried.
The Department also presented April caseload and performance statistics alongside the contract item. Key figures included 117 new Temporary Assistance applications, 151 SNAP applications, and a Medicaid caseload reported at 3,374 cases (a 2.96% decrease year-to-date). Temporary Assistance timeliness was reported at 64% and SNAP at 93% for the month reported. The department noted 758 shelter nights for homeless clients during the month.
The committee record shows the contract is funded through the Family Centered Case Management Services Allocation (OTDA) and that the county’s Director’s comments cited a pending state budget release as the timing trigger for funds. No amendments to the contract were described at the meeting. The committee carried the resolution to approve the contract.
