The Historic Preservation Commission approved the prior meeting minutes as amended at its March 17 meeting and agreed to accept emailed corrections for final signatures.
Thomas (staff member) reported recent expenditures: membership dues for Missouri Preservation and the National Trust for Historic Preservation have been paid, and the legal ad for the North Heights RFP (about $250) has been placed; the second payment will appear on next month’s records. Commissioners were invited to volunteer to help with work on the RFP selection process on a tight timeline.
Chair gave an initial update on a parks survey project; substantive survey work will likely begin in May and commissioners and volunteers will be asked to help with mapping and photo documentation modeled on previous cemetery surveys by the Post Art Library.
Laurie noted the Main Street / Missouri Preservation conference on May 14 and reminded commissioners that they typically must complete at least one training annually; she and staff will circulate webinar options and conference details.
A local landmark nomination passed Planning and Zoning and will come to City Council on April 1 for consideration. The meeting closed after brief announcements and a voice vote to adjourn.
