Commissioners asked about fencing, parking and licensing. Kadivi said her backyard is fully fenced and she has three driveway parking spaces; she also said she intends to obtain state daycare licensure. Staff noted the fire marshal required a life-safety plan as part of the application and explained the commission typically issues a two-year special-use permit, with precedent for two renewals before a final permanent determination.
The commission approved the special-use permit on a motion the chair recorded as coming from Dr. Rosenberg with a second from Mr. Spruce; the motion carried by voice vote.
